I currently use buttons to show and hide ICONs I create within interactive PDFs.

I am curious if Javascript can be used to show the Button/Icon.

I also wonder if Java can show the Button/Icon after a period of time elapses.

Any ideas?

Thanx
Ryan

If the icons are placed within a button field, the field can be displayed, hidden, displayed not printed, not displayed but printed.

It is possible to perform date time calculations within form and base decisions upon the results. It is even possible to perform real time updates using the timer feature within Acrobat JavaScript but this requires a lot of care because the timer needs to be turned off when the PDF is closed.
