Folks,

How does Acrobat get from a given handler the type of signature the handler is able to process
(validate)?

From some other topic in this forum I got the information that Acrobat should invoke the handler's
callback GetAtomProperty with a property name called "SubFilter" expressed in a piece of code
like the one below (just an example, where the returned subfilter value is ETSI.PAdES)

else if( !strcmp( szPropertyName, PROP_PSENG_ASAtom_DefaultSubFilter))
{
retVal = ASAtomFromString("ETSI.CAdES.detached");
}

I am using Acrobat 2015 and, unfortunately, it is not making this invocation to the handler I am using. The consequence is that Acrobat does NOT invoke the SigValidate() callback of my handler to validate the signed PDF (which has "ETSI.CAdES.detached" as it subfilter value in the Signature Dictionary.

Any hints as of why Acrobat does not ask for the subfilter property value supported by the handler?
