    Posted: 17 Dec 2013 at 1:04am
Hi,

I am hoping you might be able to assist me with where my script is incorrect.  I have been going through lots of example scripts on how to create a custom save as button.

For some reason it just won't run (when I click the button nothing happens).

this.saveAs("/c/MyDocs/" + this.documentFileName);

I have tried many different alternatives and just can't  seem to get it to work.  It is a button with a run Java script mouse up event.

The folder exists on my c drive called MyDocs

If you are able to advise any possible reasons why this would not work I would greatly appreciate it.

I have heaps of other scripts that work perfectly, but I can get a saveAs script to work.

Thanks so much.

Michael.

Did you read the documentation of the saveAs method?

Make sure you read the documentation for this method CAREFULLY, and also make sure you tick the option (under Edit - Preferences - JavaScript) to show the console on errors and warnings.
