Hi,

I just have a quick question on Quads.  Basically I have seen example scripts that refer to Quads in whole integers eg.  var qdAdress = [[-1, 172, 273, 172, -1, 158, 273, 158]];

However if you extract all quads from all words and drop into Excel they are not whole numbers (many decimal places).

When referring to Quad co-ordinates are the decimal places relevant or important?  Do you you just need the numbers without the decimal places such as above var qdAddress?

With a script I wrote, I actually applied a Math.floor to remove the decimal places but is this something that is not necessary?

Thanks for your help, it is helping just piece a few things together / enhancing my understanding of Quads.

Thanks.Smile

Michael.

Depends for what you're using them, and what level of precision you want.
The values you get from getPageNthWordQuads are floats, not integers.

Depends if precision of 1/72 inches is enough for you. It is for many, but typesetting needs more accuracy than that.
