Two of my users has an issue when they try to print a pdf using Acrobat Pro DC

It doesn't matter where the file comes from (desktop, email, network drive etc)

Its intermittent to say the least...but it happened this morning, hasn't happened all week.

Only had a few minutes to be able to spend on this but here’s what happened

Opened pdf NOT FROM OUTLOOK…this is one that she’s worked with in the past

Opened pdf with Adobe Acrobat DC pro.  Not reader.

Clicking print yielded nothing.

Clicking on print properties didn’t do anything...properties didn't show...

Changed printers…same result as above

Stopped and started print spooler services on local machine…no help

Installed new printer…local…not network shared…still no help

Re-opened document in Adobe reader.

Printed fine….i’m sure this is strictly an adobe issue

I reopened the document in Pro...printed fine...at this point i am unable to duplicate...gonna have to wait and see.

I will try checking "print as image' next time it happens...remembered that after the fact.

I am using a pcl driver so i'm also going to put a PS driver in and see what result i get

Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi there, we are having this exact issue.  Along with no printer properties, the print job literally won't go through.  It doesn't matter what printer.  PCL, Postscript, HP, Cannon, and Xerox.

Did you have any luck on finding the cause?

I would open any PDF, bring up Acrobat's Print UI, select the printer, click the "Properties" button next to the printer's name, print a test page using the popped up printer UI. If that works then try to print the PDF. If that does not work, under "Help" select the "Repair" option.
