Hi guys,
So I have a folder with hundreds of pdf file couples file1.pdf containing the report and file1_cover.pdf containing the cover page for this pdf. I would like to batch process this folder storing the cover+report as file1.pdf and removing all loose cover files.
Tough I have come across multiple freeware programs I have not yet found one capable of doing this. All suggestions are welcome.

The closest I have come across is this script for pdf toolkit. Since our experience with coding is close to zero maybe someone has an addition to this code allowing it to be applied to multiple sets and saving it to the original name. -

@echo off
setlocal enabledelayedexpansion
FOR %%A IN (%*) DO (set command=!command! %%A)
pdftk.exe %command% cat output "%~dp1binder.pdf"

It can be done in Acrobat Pro using an Action and a script, or by developing a custom-made standalone application that does it. If you're interested in either solution feel free to contact me privately and we could discuss it further.
