Hi, assistance would be apprecaited,

I have built software that is deisgned to have text or images populate specific form fields in a PDF report, based on a set of rules governing those images.
We have certain examples in the reports where we want the same content, text or image, to populate different fields, based on the same set of rules.

So in short;

If Rule 1 = True

Text 1 and Image 1 populate form fields 1, 2 and 3

Rather than create three separate rules, I want to give different form fields in the report the same name, and have the content populate all fields with that name.

This works when the outcome is text based, but as soon as I try and do it with an image (jpeg), it will only populate the first field it finds.

I see that PDF automatically appends numerals to the form field names I choose, to make them unique. But how come it then works with text?

If you want to do it with images you need to insert them as the icons of button fields, which in turn can be copies of one another, just like text fields. If you do it any other way it won't work.
