When I press the little floppy disc icon or press Ctrl-S, or even go to File->Save, the Save As option ALWAYS comes up.
Is there a way to make it save that pdf folder without making me overwrite every time I want to save?

Perhaps, it's it on Mac or PC and to what program are you trying to save your pdf from? A little more infomation, to better help.

Sincerely

Jesper

Save As does not overwrite.  It creates a new file with a new name.

Save As can overwrite. Just use the same name and the same location than an existing fileā€¦
It's a user choice.

You are correct, in that it CAN be used that way, but that is not the reason it exists.

The way  I see it: if you got a new file & you click on save, it will just save it wherever you happen to be on you computer with the first line of your pdf document. Whereas save as allows you to specifically enter a new name to the file & save it to the place you actually want, like a specific folder for example.

Save as also does some optimization to reduce the size of the file.
