Hi there,

we are producing manga (in b/w with screentones) and therefore get PDFs from Japan. They don't give us open data or *.tiff-files - we already asked for it.
But some pages have to be retouched because of the japanese soundwords and so we have to get *.tiffs out of the PDFs.
Are there any advices to avoid moiré-effects easily?

Thanks a lot
Maria

Don't save pages as TIFFs, nor open pages in Photoshop. Extract images as TIFFs, or edit with Photoshop as a helper for the Acrobat editor. This will not introduce new moiré.
