Hi gurus. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around a script and need some help.
I have a directory with about 400 subfolders in it. In each of those subfolders are 4 to 5 PDF files and 1 JPG. I want to make a script to go into those subfolders, select the JPG, then convert it and save it as PDF with the same name in the same folder. There's got to be an easier way to do this as a batch than going in and doing it manually to each file. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'll sacrifice a slice of Dominos to the Java Gods in your honor.

In Acrobat Pro, just create an Action (Tools - Action Wizard) with a Save command and run it on the folders... It will convert the JPG files to PDF, and just re-save the PDF files without changing them.

Alas, it does this with all of the files present including 3 excel spreadsheets I don't want it to touch.

Not only can you select folders, you can also select specific files.
You could also delete the PDFs you do not want. |

hmm, sounds like a lot of work. I would try with this online jpg to pdf converter http://www.jpgtopdf.com/ , but I'm not sure it will work for you.
