I am looking for help for a form field in which I need it to prevent anyone from adding a certain number entry. For example: This field a user can't add a number beyond 27. So, when they try to enter 28 it wont let them. Approve This field they can't enter a number higher than 100.

You don't need JS. There's a built-in option in Acrobat to limit the range of possible input to text fields set as Number. Look under the Validate tab.
