Hello,
I am trying to add javascript for pdf drop down fields, but I cannot seem to get any of the ones I find to work based on the value selected.  They always seem to default to one color.

There are four values in the drop down: "yes", "no", "N/A" and a blank space.

Also if "No" is selected from the drop down, I would like to make the corresponding comment field a requirement.

Any insight for a newbie would be appreciated.

Hi.

You can place this script as a Validation script in the dropdown:

if (event.value == "NO") {this.getField("CommentS1").required = true;}
else  {this.getField("CommentS1").required = false;}

Sample file (with a nice stroke effect):  uploads/615/Test-1ok.pdf
