I save an fdf file to my server, that points to a pdf. I have my firefox (38.0.5) set to open the fdf in the browser, and have acrobat configured to open in the browser.

What happens is, when I click on the link to the fdf file (which is supposed to 'find' the referenced pdf, fill in the pdf blanks with the fdf data and render the pdf onscreen), I will get the error message "File not found" from Adobe. Then refresh a couple times, and then finally, on the third refresh, the pdf shows up in a new tab, with the correct fdf data.

Has anybody had a similar issue? Why do I keep getting an error that the file cant be found that is there? Which file is it talking about? the fdf or the pdf? Either way, they are both properly located, and to 'prove' it, after x # refreshes the pdf finally renders.

Trying to figure out what the issue is.

Do you have FireFox set to use the Acrobat web plug-in?

What happens when you use Microsoft's Internet Explorer?
