Hi Guys,

We are experiencing an unusual problem involving asppdf functions. We are hoping that someone very knowledgeable could give us an insight on how to solve it:

Currently, Visual studio enables us to generate PDFs  for Packing Slips. Our old logo images produce correct results when PDFs are generated. However, when we replace them with new logos with exact same settings as the ones that work correctly, the system stretches these logos inside of the PDFs it generates. The code to generate the PDFs has not been changed in any way.  The only changed we have introduced is a new image.

  •  Both new and old logos are exactly the same:
  • Both images have the same image height
  •  Both images have the same image width
  • Both images have the same resolution
  • Both images have the same mode

We actually tried opening the old JPEG file in the Photoshop,  copying its content by “selecting all,” then pasting it into itself,  then flattening the layers and saving the file. So, we were technically working with the same file, but as soon as we did this, the image became stretched inside of the PDF, which Visual Studio generated using this file. We tried everything we could to figure out the cause for this behavior, but our efforts have been unsuccessful. The person that wrote the code for this feature is no longer with the company, so all we can hope for is a timely answer from someone who have experience with this...

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thank you,

UI/UX design team
