I search the net for the following information but i m not able to find it :
We want to use acrobat XI pro to complete numerical procedures in pdf format.
The operator has to complete pdf by adding results with comment tool.
I'd like to create 3 buttons, one for add comment in Red, one in blue and one in green.

My problem is I can't find the property corresponding to default color when "Add comment" is selected.
I can easily had colored comments  or modify existing comments color using javascript but I m unable to change default color when Add coment tool bar opens.
Does one of you knows a corresponding property?
Thanks for your help

PS : I'v found one key in registry to set this parameter but it is only read at acrobat opening and written at close time.

You cannot change another user's registry through Acrobat JavaScript,

You canot change the default comment settings ofanother user.

It is a bad practice to change the preferenece settings of other users. There could be very good reasons as to why the defult preferences are set the way they are.

I really don't understand why you would need to do that. If you're using addAnnot you can set the color of the annotation in your code. Why mess around with the default settings of the user (which you can't technically do, anyway)?

Thank's for answers.
I don't want to change other user default settings but mine.
My problem is that when you choose comment tool, it is very fastidious (and loss of time : we try to fill numerical procedure industrially as fast as manually) to select color and (the more important) operator must only choose one of three normalised color (green, blue and red).
I wanted when operator click on green icon, Add comment tool opens with color text set as green but my feeling is that this is not possible.

Thank you for your cooperation.

You're right, it's not possible.
