Hi,

In case of image that contains SMask in the PDF document, how to merge the Image with the SMask to get the resultant original image?

Please refer to the image in the link above I could extract the image and smask image. I tried to merge but the resultant is not so clear.

Please advice on this.

Thanks,

An SMask is used to create alpha using shape or luminance. Then, what you paint through the SMask is blended with the backdrop according to the blend mode. This is described in great detail in the PDF reference, and it's hard to give any more advice than is already there. Transparency is complex, but a full understanding of that chapter is really needed before starting.

Hi Aandi,

I will read the Transparency chapter in the specification for the implementation.

Thanks
